Resilience - never giving up on your Vision of Success

Do you have a vision of your success? Dreaming of a life that's more... you? Have you thought about the strategy, goals, and plans you’ll use to get there?

Following your strategies for success can sometimes feel like an impossible task. Life can often get in the way, disrupting your plans and your ability to act..

You can make fantastic progress one day, and then it will be days, months, or even years before you can take action again. It may even feel like the entire universe is stacked against you!

Events seem to punish you randomly, take you away from your desires, and stop the journey to become the person you aspire to be.

These struggles add up over time to give you the toughest problems to deal with, and at times seem only for you.

When the pressure becomes too great, you reach your breaking point - the part where most people consider giving up their dreams, their deeper happiness, and their sense of self-worth... giving in to the struggle and allowing it to reshape them for an easier time.

At the breaking point, you have a choice. Either you allow the pressure to be too much and give up on your vision of success, or you press back against this heavy resistance of life and reshape yourself to be strong enough to outlast or carry these troubles and burdens.

I won’t sugarcoat it - either option is a difficult choice. You can either live the rest of your life in the knowledge that you tried, had enough, and walk away... Or you make the challenging commitment to overcome the pressure and move yourself closer to achieving your vision of success. In time, you may achieve even greater things than you first thought were possible. That choice is to develop resilience.

Resilience is the ability, art, and continued decision to not give up in the face of struggles. Resilience requires that you commit to facing the ongoing challenges in the adventure of your lifetime. You’ll look to develop a positive mindset, learn from your mistakes, and be creative in adapting your activities & strategies to get back on track.

Becoming resilient means that when life's troubles knock you far off course, you can find a way to get back on track, manage your health & wellbeing to overcome new struggles, and develop into someone who can regularly find the strength to never give up - even when everything seems hopeless.

You'll continue improving, adapting, and growing as a person. You'll test your limits. You'll make mistakes. You'll learn more about yourself, the world, and the true strength that you hold when motivated to chase after your dreams. You don’t need to be invincible, and you are allowed to be tired. You will be the one to bring out the true strength of your character and let yourself become the greatest version of you… over time!

Easy Gigs is a fantastic example of this: after I’d set up the business and then studied a Master's of Science Degree in Creative Enterprise to really improve what we can do here, I graduated right in the middle of the world-famous lockdowns of 2020. The industry was shut down, and it was time to rejoin the workforce. I spent years moving from job to job to support my family in the way they needed. Music licensing, customer service, warehousing, sales, hotels, and more…

I did a little bit of work with Easy Gigs, providing some mentoring and creating courses alongside these jobs, but after a while, burnout began to regularly creep in, and it was time to do some personal development so that I could be better able to manage everything

Honestly - get yourself the right help and support - you really can’t do everything alone!

It’s a little funny to me now… I didn’t realise just how strong, knowledgeable, and adaptable to change I’d become until looking back on it recently!

Now, almost half a decade later since starting Easy Gigs, with life finally stable once more, I can return to helping the musicians of the world reach fantastical new heights while bringing in the new age of thinking, technology, and creativity to the industry with modern values, ethics, & standards..

Had I given up years ago, I wouldn’t have been involved in so many life-changing conversations and discussions with many musicians who had lost their way in life, their career, and beyond.

It’s truly been a fantastic few years, and even though it’s been quiet here, I want you to know that I’d never given up on this - and I hope you can also find the same courage to never give up on your dreams and vision of success.

Thank you so much for your time and support - even if you’ve just found this website & blog for the first time 🙂

Maybe I can help you develop some resilience or confidence?
